GN 01711.105 Effective Date of the Norwegian Agreement - Policy

The agreement with Norway became effective July 1, 1984.

Periods of Norwegian and U.S. Social Security coverage a worker earned prior to July 1, 1984, may be used to establish entitlement to U.S. or Norwegian totalization benefits. However, the earliest possible month of entitlement to such benefits is July 1984.
