Since it will take individual FOs a long time to accumulate enough complete books to make a shipment for the Federal Records Center--a shipment must be one cubic foot, per AIMS MRM Chapter 07--FOs within a district or area should consolidate the SSA-1395 books that are eligible for shipment to make up complete boxes.

The FOs should annotate the Master Control Roster (in the Date Shipped to AD/FRC box) that the SSA-1395 book was transferred to the designated FO. That FO should then transfer the SSA-1395-BK Receipt Books to the FRC 1 year after the date in the “DATE BOOK COMPLETED” block and record the transfer in the “DATE SHIPPED TO AD/FRC” block.
