DI 29501.050 Appeals Council Requests for Development

A claimant who is dissatisfied with a decision made in his or her case by an administrative law judge (ALJ) may request a review of the decision by the Appeals Council (AC). Follow the procedures for responding to ALJ requests for assistance when the AC directly requests the disability determination services (DDS) to undertake additional development. After the necessary development has been completed, return the development (and the file if it was included) to the AC.
