When a CE provider receives a request for information concerning an examination performed under an agreement or contract with the Agency, the CE provider may not disclose this information, except as permitted by SSA’s disclosure regulations. (See Privacy and Disclosure of Official Records and Information, 20 CFR Part 401.20(b)(1)(iii).)

  If a CE provider receives a request (including a request from the claimant) for a copy of an examination report or associated background material, the CE provider will refer the request to the DDS.
