GN 00302.405 When a Written DB Determination is Required

When needed

A written DB determination is needed when:

• •

  The DB is established under GN 00302.125 and only two documents are used (at least one of which is less than 30 years old)

• •

  There is a material discrepancy which can not be disregarded per GN 00302.180

• •

  The month, day, or year of birth is established under GN00302.480

• •

  Two preferred evidence documents are presented that differ materially in the DB shown, or

• •

  A public or religious record established before age 5 is not being used to establish the DB because there is strong evidence that supports another DB and indicates that the public or religious record is incorrect (see GN 00302.440).
