A. Process

Divorce records are available from the Clerk of the District Court where the divorce was granted. The cost of copy varies. Birth records ($17) and death records ($16) are available in Douglas County by writing Douglas County Bureau of Vital Statistics, 402 Civic Center Vital Statistics, 1819 Farnam St., Omaha, NE 68183, Phone: (402) 444-7205. Shipping and handling fees apply for requests from the public for birth records (Mail: $5.00). Do not include the $5.00 fee if SSA is paying for the record. The FO cannot certify or obtain free copy.
