Regulations (404.1620 and 416.1020) require that the State provide a quality assurance function to ensure accurate and prompt disability determinations. The Quality Assurance (QA) Unit's function is to analyze the product of the adjudicating site and report findings and recommendations for corrective action to the agency administrator. Control the QA procedures as listed in this section and balance the processing time and quality as in DI 39515.000.
