The Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual
communicates guiding principles and procedures to adjudicators and
staff in the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO) and Office of Appellate
Operations (OAO).
HALLEX serves as a reference source for staff throughout the
Office of Disability Adjudication (ODA) and for staff in other Social
Security Administration components; however, each chapter addresses a
primary audience.
