HA 01310.010 Initial Screening — General

When the Office of Appellate Operations receives a request for review, designated staff will initially screen the case for:

  Critical case processing (Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual HA 01310.005);

• •

  Timeliness (HALLEX HA 01310.001);

• •

  Hearing recording (HALLEX HA 01310.012);

• •

  Requests for extensions of time (HALLEX HA 01310.014);

• •

  Appointment of representative (HALLEX HA 01110.011);

• •

  Benefit termination (HALLEX HA 01310.016);

• •

  Requests for copies of exhibits or other claim(s) file material (HALLEX HA 01310.021); and

• •

  Any other identified characteristic or measure requested by OAO management (as set forth in internal instructions).
