RM 03280.005 Release Completed Pension Information Request Blocks—Data Operations Center (4407)

1. A. 

   Place completed Pension Information Request blocks into the shipping carton.

2. B. 

   Reels of magnetic tape, containing keyed data which are being transmitted via the programmable magnetic tape terminal, will be handled as follows:

   1. 1. 

      Forward the completed Pension Information Request blocks and Tape Transmittal to the shipping and releasing area.

   2. 2. 

      Forward the reel of magnetic tape Pension Information Request block control log, and tape transmittal to the Tape Library.

3. C. 

   Handle reels of magnetic tap containing keyed data which are being shipped to Reports Analysis Branch, as follows:

   1. 1. 

      Place the reels of magnetic tape containing keyed data and two Tape Transmittal sheets addressed to Reports Analysis Branch, with the related carton of Pension Information Request blocks. Forward to the shipping and releasing area.

   2. 2. 

      Forward copy of Tape Transmittal to OEER, Records Utilization and Services Branch.

   3. 3. 

      Forward the back-up tape and related Tape Transmittal to the Tape Library.

   4. 4. 

      File the related control sheets pending the release of the back-up tape.

   5. 5. 

      Back-up tape may be returned to stock 90 days after the creation unless otherwise notified.

   6. 6. 

      Destroy the related control sheets when notified that the back-up tape has been released.
