RM 05101.004 Receiving and Controlling Forms I-131
-
A.
Receive periodic shipments of I-131's from the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
For some time, the forms may also be forwarded by the previous addressee, (Validation
Branch, DRO).
-
B.
Group the forms into blocks of 50 forms per block. Assign a three-digit number (001
through 999) and label each block, “FORMS I-131 — BLOCK NUMBER .”
-
C.
The forms within each block established can be arranged in SSN sequence based on the
number shown in block 9 of the I-131. However, this will be left to the discretion
of the branch if it is necessary for ease in associating the forms with related EDP
output during subsequent handling.
-
D.
A control register will be furnished by the Pre-Claims Branch to record various information
for each block of Forms I-131. The register should be maintained to record processing
dates and screening results for each block.
