The Immigration and Naturalization Service notifies SSA whenever a deported alien
has been lawfully readmitted to the U.S. for permanent residence. Forms G-337, Notice
of Lawful Reentry After Deportation, are processed in SSA and prior deportation information
is deleted from the records involved. This interchange of information enables each
agency to meet its responsibilities in regard to these persons.
