GN 01704.010 Processing Allegations of Nonreceipt of Foreign Benefits

A. Nonreceipt of Italian benefits

In Italy, Italian benefits are paid every 2 months through the Bank of Naples in Rome. For beneficiaries in the United States and Canada, Italian benefits are paid every 4 months through the Bank of Naples in New York. The payment represents benefits for the two prior months and the two succeeding months.

When an allegation of nonreceipt of Italian benefits is received advise the inquirer to contact the bank that has been issuing the checks. If no checks have been received or if contact with the bank does not resolve the problem, advise the inquirer to correspond directly with INPS at the following address:

B. Nonreceipt of German benefits

German benefits are paid once a month, in advance of the month for which payment is made. When an allegation of nonreceipt of German benefits is received, the inquirer should be advised to contact the agency that has been issuing the checks. If no checks have been received, advise the inquirer to correspond directly with the German agency with jurisdiction over the claim. See GN 01704.300 B.2. for the addresses of the German agencies.

C. Nonreceipt of Swiss benefits

Secure a written nonreceipt statement and forward it to the Swiss Compensation Fund, Av. Ed. Vaucher 18, 1211 Geneva 28 Switzerland.
