GN 01704.825 Transmitting Responses to Foreign Agency Requests

When consent statements, if necessary, and the requested information are in file, prepare a “package” for the foreign agency. Forward the package under cover of a Form SSA-2960 (see GN 01704.710).

If a foreign agency requested certification of data (i.e., age, citizenship, relationship, etc.), verify the data on the appropriate form for the foreign agency (see GN 01704.715). If the requested information cannot be certified (no RSDI claim filed or the requested information is not a factor of RSDI entitlement), attach any documents obtained for the agency. (Prepare photocopies if appropriate.)

Any additional forms or information requested by the foreign agency should also be included with the “package.”

If the foreign agency requested applications, enter the date claim filed (GN 01704.705 B.) on the liaison certification form.
