GN 01714.305 Life to Death Conversions - Belgium Agreement

A. Policy

Belgium automatically converts dependent spouse's benefits to survivors' benefits upon the death of the worker. There is no need for additional survivors' applications, and DIO does not need to inform the Belgian agencies of the worker's death.
