GN 01749.010 Overview of the Czech Social Security System
The Czech Social Security system provides a range of benefits including old-age, survivors,
and disability (OASDI). To qualify for Czech benefits, a worker must meet minimum
length-of-coverage or recency-of-work requirements that vary depending upon the type
of benefit. Benefit amounts are based on the length of time the worker contributed
to the Czech system and the level of the worker's earnings. For a detailed description
