RS 00605.024 Guarantee Primary Insurance Amounts (PIAs) Alternatives to the 1978 New Start (NS) Method

Types of guarantee PIAs

The statute provides three alternatives to the 1978 NS average index monthly earnings (AIME) PIA known as Guarantee PIAs. The guarantee PIAs are:

NS Transitional Guarantee (See RS 00605.025)
•

1977 Simplified old start (OS) (See RS 00605.050)
•

Disability insurance benefits (DIB) Guarantee ( See RS 00605.035)
