Prior entitlement to a spouse's benefit does not affect entitlement to a subsequent RIB. If the RIB PIA is equal to or greater than the unreduced spouse's original benefit, the spouse's benefit will be terminated. Refer to RS 00615.756A. However, technical entitlement to the spouse's benefit continues if the RIB PIA is less than the unreduced spouse's benefit even though reduced spouse's benefits are not payable. Refer to RS 00615.240
