RS 02809.005 Processing RRB Certification Cases
Administrative messages will be received from the DO indicating that a critical case
or expedited payment request (205(q)) is involved. Procedures have been worked out
with the Railroad Retirement Board, Customer Service Representative, to process these
cases in both initial and postadjudicative situations. Requests for Expedited Payment
will be given top priority and special one-check-only payments will be made by RRB
so the time frames can be met. Critical cases will be given priority (processed within
7-10 working days through certification to Treasury) but special one-check-only payments
will not be made.
