Entitle a spouse, mother, or father caring for a child age 16-18 entitled to child's
benefits; or

Pay the lump-sum death payment (LSDP) to a disabled widow(er) or a childhood disability
beneficiary (CDB) when the spouse was not living with the deceased worker at the time
of death.
In these situations, if the child-in-care provision is an issue, a disability determination
for a child as young as age 15 years 6 months may be needed.
