An employee is considered career RR if he or she meets the requirements for entitlement
and eligibility for RR annuity. A career RR case is a Title II, Title XVI, or Title
II/Title XVI claim filed by, or on behalf of, a RR worker who has at least 120 months
(or at least 60 months after December 31, 1995) of RR service, or has been awarded
a retirement or disability annuity under the Railroad Retirement Act (RRA).
NOTE: Refer to the Railroad Earnings Data (DRRE) screen in MCS EC (see MSOM MCSEC 001.020)
or the ALERT and COMPUTATIONAL YEARLY EARNINGS data blocks in Information/Certified
Earnings Records System (ICERS) to determine career RR worker status. (See SM 00349.045
and SM 00349.125).
