DI 23535.015 Expediting the Formal Determination after a Presumptive Disability/Presumptive Blindness (PD/PB) Finding

Expedite the formal disability or blindness determination after a PD/PB finding has been made to avoid an interruption in payments. The intended purpose of PD/PB payments is largely offset if there is a later interruption in payments. Such an interruption occurs if the formal determination is not completed prior to the end of the 6-month period during which payment can be made on the basis of PD/PB.
