DI 81010.060 Accessing a Pending Electronic Disability Collect System (EDCS) Case

A pending EDCS case can be accessed at any time to:

  Continue keying data; or

• •

  Update data.

To access a pending claim, choose one of the following searches on the EDCS Case Selection page:

• •

  Name search; or

• •

  SSN search.

EDCS returns a list of all cases and displays:

• •

  The Claimant’s name;

• •

  A Certified Electronic Folder (CEF) Indicator to inform users if the case is a CEF by displaying a “Y” or an “N”;

• •

  The current status of each claim;

• •

  Office code for the office with jurisdiction of the case;

• •

  Office type; and

• •

  Status Date.
