SI NY02003.002 Reimbursement to the State for Interim Assistance Payments (RTS 371 - 06/2003)

An IAR Agreement has been in effect with the State Of New Jersey from October 1974 to the present. Under the terms of the IAR Agreement, reimbursement is possible for financial assistance provided by one if the following mechanisms: General Assistance (GA); AFDC-N Segment (a non-federally funded program which makes payments to families with eligible children when both parents are in the home, are not incapacitated and the parent meets the definition of unemployed); Community placements made by the Division of Mental Health and Hospitals (DMH&H); Community placements made by the county hospital in Hudson and Camden counties.
