The United States and the Slovak Republic can use periods of U.S. and Slovak social security coverage earned in the United States or the Slovak Republic before May 1, 2014 to establish entitlement to U.S. or Slovak Totalization benefits. However, the earliest possible date of entitlement to benefits under the agreement is May 1, 2014.
