RS 01702.568 Underpayments - Policy (SSA/VA)

If the VA does not make payment within a year of SSA certification, the VA will contact the PC to investigate continuing eligibility before issuing underpayments.

If the VA requests a recertification because of death of a survivor, certify the U/P. If death occurs before certification, see RS 01702.553.
