RS 01802.035 Life Insurance Salesmen — Renewal Commissions — Operating Policy

The status of the salesperson at the time the original sale was made determines whether the renewal commissions are NESE or wages.

Renewal commissions paid after 1950 are NESE if, at the time the policy was written, the salesperson was not an employee.
