DI 28001.055 Cases Involving Blindness, Title II

Disability Determination Services (DDS) may receive Title II continuing disability review (CDR) blindness cases only if the issue to be resolved is whether the individual is blind or whether blindness, previously established, continues.

The field office (FO) or Office of Earnings and International Operations (OEIO) will ordinarily resolve issues involving work activity by blind persons. Comparability of work issues will be resolved, in CDR blind cases, by OEIO- Office of Disability Operations (ODO)/Disability Review Section (DRS).
