DI 43535.005 Responsibilities of the Totalization Modules

The INTPSC totalization modules will receive all requests from foreign agencies for medical evidence and information. Module personnel will jacket the material, set up folder controls, have foreign language documents translated, request prior folders where applicable, and when necessary, search for social security numbers (SSN's). After all identifying material and prior information is associated with the file, the totalization module will forward the folder to the foreign claims disability examiner for development of the necessary medical evidence. When the medical evidence is returned to the totalization module, module personnel will be responsible for preparing the reply to the foreign agency.
