DI 52501.001 Background on Court Cases

This chapter contains the background information, and processing instructions which will enable State agencies to adequately handle issues and case processing related to court orders.

The chapter is divided into segments, each which includes cases with similar issues. The segments are:

1. A. 

   Not Severe Cases,

2. B. 

   Medical Improvement Cases, and

3. C. 

   Other Court Cases.

Each of the above segments includes subchapters devoted to a single court case which is related to others within the segment. Complete processing instructions for an individual case can be found within the subchapter. This enables the user to answer inquiries and process cases affected by the court order with minimal need to cross-refer to other sections of POMS.
