RM 03803.036 Incomplete Cases - Noting Discrepancies on the SSA-7009a and the MEF/ SSA-1826 Printout(s)

  1. A. 

    Examine the SSA-7009A and the MEF/SSA-1826 printout(s) in each incomplete case to ensure that all allegations have been scouted and that each alleged period is accounted for by a notation such as “NR,” “EO”, “no EIN,” or by an indication of the amount reported.

  2. B. 

    Remove any of the following notations which may have been placed on the SSA-7009A or MEF/SSA-1826 printout(s) during scouting:

    1. 1. 

      Abbreviations not explained on the SSA-7009A.

    2. 2. 

      Office idioms.

    3. 3. 

      Unnecessary remarks.

    4. 4. 

      Inaccuracies, such as impossible numbers or periods.

  3. C. 

    Enter a red “D” opposite the discrepant periods in the “Allegation or Manner of Reporting Remarks” column of the SSA-7009A, or on the MEF/ SSA-1826 printout(s).
