GN 01712.030 How the Norwegian Agency Processes Applications

The FFU accepts claims from persons living outside Norway who want to file for U.S. benefits and informs DIO of the claim via Form N/USA 3.

If an applicant living in Norway wants to file for U.S. benefits at an office of the Norwegian Insurance Institute, the applicant will be given a protective filing statement and directed to the U.S. FSP.

If the FFU needs a U.S. earnings record, or any other evidence from DIO in connection with a claim for Norwegian benefits, they request it via the N/ USA 3.
