The agreement provides that Ireland will count a worker’s U.S. coverage when determining eligibility for Irish benefits if the worker:

1. 1. 

   Is not insured based on Irish coverage alone, and

2. 2. 

   Has at least 52 weeks of Irish coverage.

Ireland will credit 13 weeks of Irish coverage for each U.S. quarter of coverage. However, Ireland will not credit any week that is already credited as a week of coverage under the Irish system.
