GN 01736.106 How to Evaluate Irish Coverage Certifications

A. Introduction

There are some entries which must be shown on the Irish coverage record before it can be used to credit Irish coverage. The following section describes the entries required for an acceptable Irish coverage certification.

B. Procedure

Follow these steps to evaluate Irish coverage certifications, on form IRL/ USA 4.

Step Action

Is the correct worker's name shown on the coverage record?

  • If yes, go to Step 2

  • If no, route the case to IOTS for evaluation.

Is a “FROM - TO” entry shown for each period in which there is an entry in the number of weeks column?

  • If yes, go to Step 3

  • If no, route the case to IOTS for evaluation.

Is there a number of weeks entry for each “FROM - TO” period and is the weeks entry less than or equal to the number of weeks in the corresponding “FROM - TO” period?

  • If yes, go to Step 4

  • If no, route the case to IOTS for evaluation.

Is the form IRL/USA 4 properly certified including the signature and official stamp?

  • If yes, see GN 01736.110 to credit the Irish coverage.

  • If no, route the case to IOTS for evaluation.
