GN 03316.010 Examples of Disclosures Without Consent to Assist in Administering SSA Programs
The disclosures discussed in GN 03316.015 through GN 03316.150 are examples of types of disclosures SSA makes in administering its programs and responsibilities under the Social Security Act. These disclosures comply with the policy criteria in GN 03316.005. Also, the examples are not all-inclusive. Additional disclosures to Federal, State, and local agencies and private entities to assist SSA in administering its programs and responsibilities under the Act may be permissible under routine uses applicable to SSA systems of records (see http://www.socialsecurity.gov/foia /bluebook/bluebook.htm.).
Questions about the appropriateness of a disclosure to assist in administering an SSA program should be referred to the regional or component Privacy Act Coordinator (PAC). As necessary, the regional or component PAC should consult with the Office of Public Disclosure, Office of the General Counsel.
