GN 03316.030 Disclosure Without Consent to the Department of Defense (DOD)

A. Policy

Disclosure may be made to DOD for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of individuals for Title XVI Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments and the entitlement of individuals to Title VIII Special Veterans Benefits (SVB). To the extent that DOD may have information relevant to an individual’s entitlement to benefits under Title II of the Social Security Act, information may be disclosed to DOD to obtain information. See GN 03313.005A. for information about non-program related requests from DOD.

Relevant information may be disclosed from the following system of records:

  • 60-0089—Claims Folders System,

  • 60-0103—Supplemental Security Income Record and Special Veterans Benefits System, and

  • 60-0320—Electronic Disability Claims File.
