GN 03501.003 Applicability of Acquiescence Rulings

A. Policy

ARs are applicable at all administrative levels (initial, reconsideration, Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearing and Appeals Council (AC) review) unless the circuit court decision, which provided the basis for the AR, by its nature, applies only at certain levels of adjudication, e.g., a decision related to the conduct of the ALJ at the hearing. ARs are applicable to claims of all persons who reside in States or Territories that are within the jurisdiction of the Circuit Court which made the decision that is the subject of the AR.

B. List of Circuit Court Jurisdictions

Appeals from the district courts in the States listed below are taken to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the applicable Federal judicial circuits shown:
