GN 04442.001 Overview-Background of Quality Assurance Review of Railroad Disability Claims

Railroad Disability determinations are made by the Disability Review Section (DRS) in the Great Lakes Program Service Center ( GLPSC) with approval by the regional medical staff and with mandatory coordination with the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB).

Periodically, SSA does a quality assurance (QA) review of the Social Security disability determinations on railroad claims in the Disability Quality Branches (DQBs).
