Procedure

Continue payments to the student and diary the case for the first day of the 5th calendar month following the month in which the school closed. When the diary expires, take action as follows:

1. School has reopened

Develop in accordance with RS 00205.775C.

2. No information that the school has reopened or that the student is in FTA at another EI

Advise the student that benefits will terminate within 30 days unless evidence of his or her FTA at an EI is received.

Diary the case for 30 days. If evidence of FTA at an EI has not been received when the diary expires, suspend benefits.

Diary for an additional 30 days. Terminate benefits effective with the month after the last month in which the student was in FTA at an EI if, when the second 30-day period expires, notice has not been received that the school has reopened or that the student is in FTA at another school.
