RS 00615.210 Reduced Spouse's Benefit Where the Family Maximum is Involved

Cross-Refer to RS 00615.768 when dual entitlement is involved.

PROCEDURE

To determine the spouse's benefit when the family maximum is involved:

  • •

    Reduce the OB for the maximum, then

  • •

    Reduce that share for age using the formula in RS 00615.201.

If there is a change in the PIA, redetermine the spouse's benefit from the original month of entitlement up to the current entitlement or termination month as if the current family composition had always been in effect.
