DI 22505.011 Development Issue - Title II Childhood Disability Benefits (CDB) Case

A. Procedure

1. Claimant Not Disabled Before Age 22

When it is determined that the claimant was not disabled in or before the month of attainment of age 22, discontinue development of evidence and prepare the determination. 

2. Claimant Under 17 1/2 Years Of Age

If the claimant is under age 17 1/2:

  1. a. 

    Transmit the case to the field office via form SSA-408.

  2. b. 

    Annotate the case “Unadjudicated CDB case. Claimant under age 17 1/2.”

B. Reference

If the case is being considered as a disabled minor child, see DI 23505.001C.
