DI 26015.010 Title XVI Notices - Denials
The DDS prepares a personalized notice to Title XVI claimants denied because disability/blindness
criteria are not met (see DI
26530.020).
When the claimant alleges blindness or a visual impairment, the description of medical
severity must specifically describe the severity (without using technical terms) of
the visual impairment as well as all other nonvisual impairments.
