DI 28030.031 Development of Functional Evidence in Title XVI Child Cases
A. Assessment of functioning
The disability examiner (DE) must often consider a Title XVI child's functioning in assessing whether:
There has been medical improvement (MI).
The child's impairment(s) still meets or equals the severity of the listing it met or equaled at the comparison point decision (CPD).
The child is currently disabled.
Apply the initial claim instructions for developing functional information to continuing disability review (CDR) cases.
