DI 28084.025 Vocational Rule and Vocational Background Information (Items 14 to 17)

A. Introduction to completing Items 14 to 17

The disability determination services (DDS) will follow these instructions to complete Items 14 through 17 when processing a continuing disability review (CDR) on the Forms SSA-832 (Cessation or Continuance of Disability or Blindness Determination and Transmittal –Title XVI) or SSA-833 (Cessation or Continuance of Disability or Blindness Determination and Transmittal – Title II).

B. Item 14 - vocational rule

1. Procedure for vocational rule

Enter an "X" in this block when a case meets an appendix 2 vocational rule. Enter the five-digit number when identifying the rule, e.g., “202.03” that is met in the “Cite Rule” box.

2. References

For medical vocational guidelines, see DI 25025.000.

For exceptions to medical improvement, see DI 28020.000.

C. Description of Items 15, 16, and 17

DDS will not complete Items 15, 16, and 17. Only complete these items in cases involving work issue continuances or cessations.

NOTE: It is no longer necessary for DDS to complete Items 18 (Special Use) and 19 (VR Action).
