DI 52155.015 Processing Disability Claims with Workers' Compensation/Public Disability Benefit
(WC/PDB) and Auxiliaries
When the number holder (NH) files for disability benefits and WC/PDB is involved,
make every attempt to process auxiliary claims in the same MCS segment as the NH.
This makes MCS EC processing more promising for the auxiliary claims and reduces the
likelihood of overpayment or underpayment to NH and auxiliaries.
NOTE: Review the policy in GN 01010.140 for processing delayed claims. The WC/PDB screens completed for the NH provide all
required information to complete an offset determination for the auxiliaries.
If it is necessary to process an auxiliary award after the award for the NH is processed
to the MBR, follow the instructions in DI 52140.001J.
