DI 57601.001 Special Hearing Procedures and Evidence Rules in Region I Background
As of June 13, 2011, we eliminated the Decision Review Board (DRB); and, restored
Region I to most of the same rules and procedures at the Appeals Council (AC) level
under parts 404 and 416 that we currently follow in the rest of the country. Region
I will continue to use our rules about hearings before administrative law judges (ALJs)
under part 405, including our rules that provide 75-day notice of a hearing and require
a claimant to submit all evidence 5 days prior to his or her hearing unless he or
she shows good cause.
