DI 80550.110 ALJ Automated Verification Input Database (AVID) Process

In order to safeguard the integrity of the decision making process, an ALJ must verify final disposition of favorable and partially favorable decisions by special input to CPMS. This is known as the AVID process.

Prior to AVIDing, the following fields on the Hearing Level Disposition screen must be completed:

  • Disposition (fully or partially favorable);

  • Established Onset Date (if a disability case);

  • Favorable Indicator; and

  • Cessation Date (if applicable).

The ALJ must verify favorable and partially favorable decisions before [Save and Close Case] can be selected for final disposition of a case.
