SI 00604.071 Vehicles: Question 40

A. When and how to complete question 40

  1. 1. 

    Complete 40(a) for all claimants. If the claimant answers (a) "YES", complete (b).

  2. 2. 

    Complete the Current Market Value and Amount Owed blocks only for vehicles that we cannot exclude per SI 01130.200.

  3. 3. 

    Consider other vehicles such as motor homes and houseboats if used to provide transportation since items in 40(a) are not all inclusive.

Effective April 1, 2005, if there is only one vehicle we can exclude it if the claimant uses it for transportation for themselves or their family member.
