SI 01210.630 Special Blind Income Disregards - Recipient With Essential Person

A. INTRODUCTION

This section provides the procedure for determining CI, and an example illustrating the computations.

B. PROCEDURE

1. Example

A blind grandfathered recipient living in State X has an essential person. The blind recipient has the following income:

  • $120 wages

  • $10 BWE under both Federal and State plan rules

The essential person has income of $100.00 wages.

The State plan income disregards used in the chart below are typical. Actual disregards vary by State.

2. Chart: Determining CI
