Effective April 1, 1990, blind or disabled children who are living with a parent who is a member of the United States (U.S.) Armed Forces assigned to permanent duty ashore outside the United States, Puerto Rico, and the territories and possessions of the U.S. may continue to receive SSI payments.

Blind and Disabled Child SSI Cases are Profile V cases. The Cumberland, MD, District Office has jurisdiction for Profile V cases and will conduct RZs and limited issue development for them.
